Five Years of Divinity Homes: A Gala Dinner to Thank Our Team & to Support a Charitable Cause
This month, Divinity Homes celebrates a major milestone that marks just over five years of our company building custom dream homes for South Australians.
To honour that journey, we hosted our first-ever Gala Dinner – an evening organised to thank our incredible team. The event brought together all the professionals who support our business behind the scenes and help turn our projects into reality. We also took this opportunity to give back to our local community.
It was a night of gratitude, connection and giving back.
Why This Night Mattered
From the outside, Divinity Homes is known as a custom-home builder. But on the inside, we know that every home is the result of a number of people and hundreds of decisions.
This gala was our way of recognising their hard work. It allowed us to step away from day-to-day project deadlines and formally acknowledge the contribution of our wider network who support Divinity Homes and uphold our brand.
The evening was also an important moment for us to reflect on how far the business has come in just over five years but also, to share our future direction, and to reaffirm the values of quality, integrity & long-term relationships that we want to carry into our next chapter.
Equally, we wanted the night to be about giving back. With cancer being very close to our family, supporting Cancer Council SA as part of the event gave the celebration a deeper purpose and allowed us, together with our guests, to contribute to a cause that extends well beyond our own business.
A Look Back: Five Years of Divinity Homes
Over the past five years, Divinity Homes has grown from a family vision into a recognised custom-home builder, driven by a genuine passion for real estate, construction and creating homes that feel considered and personal. From the beginning, our focus has been on designing and delivering fully custom homes, often larger and more detailed, rather than pursuing high volumes of standard builds. That choice has shaped the kind of projects we take on and the way we work day to day.
At the heart of all this is our commitment to long-lasting relationships. We don’t just see a network of our team – we see people we trust, who have backed us from the early days and consistently gone the extra mile for our clients and our business. Loyalty, trust, honesty and quality over quantity remain the core values that guide how we build and who we choose to work with. As we look ahead, we’re excited for the future of Divinity Homes, knowing that the experience, lessons and partnerships formed over the last five years have laid a strong foundation for our future.
Giving Back: Supporting Cancer Council SA
While the gala was a chance to celebrate and say thank you, it also carried a deeper purpose.
Cancer is very close to our family. In 2012, the director’s mother passed away from cancer, and that loss has shaped the way we think about life, family and giving back.
Because of this, we chose to dedicate the night to supporting Cancer Council SA.
We were honoured to have Claire from Cancer Council SA attend as our guest and share a short, powerful talk about the work they do – from research and prevention to support services for people and families affected by cancer;
“On behalf of Cancer Council SA, heartfelt thanks to Divinity Homes and everyone in attendance at their Gala Anniversary Dinner. We greatly valued the opportunity to speak to the work we do in the South Australian community and the impact of your donation. One person in SA is diagnosed with cancer every 45 minutes. Together, we can work to create a future where cancer is no longer feared but seen as a preventable and manageable disease.”
Together, this allowed us to make a meaningful donation to Cancer Council SA – a contribution that felt like the right way to mark our five-year milestone.
A Night We Won’t Forget
Our 5+ Year Gala and Thank You Dinner was more than just a date on the calendar.
It brought together the people who stand behind the Divinity Homes name, allowed us to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come, and helped us contribute to a cause that means a lot to us.
To everyone who attended – and to those who couldn’t make it but support us all year round – thank you.
And to our clients – past, present and future – thank you for trusting Divinity Homes with your custom dream home journey.
